Beyond the Basics: Tumblers, Cups and Yunomis (HD VIDEO 2 hr 14 minutes)

Description

This is the second video in a series I am developing to help potters learn at their own pace and develop their own style. The first video, The Fundamentals of Wheel-Throwing, teaches wedging, centering, coning, and pulling a cylinder. It, and other resources, are available on this website.

Beyond the Basics teaches multiple ways to form the lip, body and foot of a tumbler, cup, and yunomi (tea bowl). Through a series of exercises, you will learn how to create a unified form reflecting your own aesthetic. I’ll also show and discuss examples from my personal cup collection so you’ll be able to see how other artists integrate these to create a unified whole.

Have fun. Push the boundaries and watch your skills grow.

This video is not on a DVD but rather on a jump drive that is 16GB so you get full HD quality on a credit card jump drive.

Opening Instructions: Remove credit card jump drive from the plastic. With the title side facing up, press on the hole at the edge. The flap will flip up. Gently insert into your computer’s USB port.

Running time: 2 hours and 14 minutes of Full HD quality 16 GB

The introductory price is $25.00 for this $49.95 value.
